FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/MOST EMBARASSING MOMENT ON STAGE: Letting the band vamp for about 30 bars before I realised it was my line in the Urinetown dress rehearsal has to be my most embarrassing. My favourite though would probably be singing ‘All The Single Ladies’ in the Compton Panto, Mother Goose, two years ago. I also made an excellent star in my Year 2 nativity.

FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/EMBARRASSING MOMENT ON STAGE: my favourite moment would have to be when I was playing Harley in the 2015 Surrey Heath Gang show and we were doing a comedy chase scene and I had run and then go through the ‘security guards’ legs and part way through stand up and give her a piggy back of stage, which meant that pretty much every night I’d have a new ladder in my tights.
RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET IS ON AT THE RHODA MCGAW THEATRE FROM 28TH - 30TH JUNE AT 7:30PM WITH A SATURDAY MATINEE AT 2:30PM. CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS.

Whilst juggling all of that I am principal of a site in Sandhurst for Redz Performing Arts, teaching students from 3-16 years!
BY NIGHT I.....am a Disney Princess striving to achieve world peace and happiness.
FAVOURITE SONG FROM THE SHOW AND WHY? Tell her! It’s such an exciting song and such a pinnacle moment in the show where the plot begins to develop! And I throughly enjoy miming the words with deep and meaningful expressions!
PAST SHOWS INCLUDE: Annie, Wizard of Oz, Many Karen Clarke Christmas shows! Pasha’s Strictly come dancing tour, dance show in Germany, dancing in Disney Paris twice (that was my favourite!)
FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/EMBARRASSING MOMENT ON STAGE: Whilst preparing for a Dick Witington the Pantomime, our main character King Rat pulled out giving 24 hours notice before the show... I was then volunteered for the role and had 24 hours to learn the lines and everything else to go with it! The first act went swimmingly! However in the second act I accidentally said ‘Sh*t’ instead of Ship! The audience went silent! So I proceeded to correct my error and said ‘I meant ship!’ #awkward although I did have the audience in stitches when I corrected myself, after a long dramatic pause!
RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET IS ON AT THE RHODA MCGAW THEATRE FROM 28TH - 30TH JUNE AT 7:30PM WITH A SATURDAY MATINEE AT 2:30PM. CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS.
MEET THE CAST OF 'Return to the Forbidden Planet' - Sarah Hall - Navigation Officer
NAME: Sarah Hall
CHARACTER: Navigational Officer
BY DAY I.....work in admin.
BY NIGHT I.....do wedmin as my sister is getting married a few week’s before the show and I’ve been organising her hen party and helping out with wedding prep. I also sing in a choir, play Dungeons and Dragons and have a penchant for board games.
FAVOURITE SONG FROM THE SHOW AND WHY? Monster Mash, it’s just so catchy!
PAST SHOWS INCLUDE: West Side Story, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Aladdin, Sing On, Medea, A Birthday Party, The King of Spain’s Treasure and The Ugly Duckling are some of the highlights.
FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/EMBARRASSING MOMENT STAGE: Some of my most memorable moments on stage are: 1) Being swung around in a trolley in Sparklespark while playing the character of Russell and praying I didn’t go flying off the stage. 2) Playing Nora in a scene from A Doll’s House when Torvald got the date wrong in his line, therefore making the whole scene irrelevant. He tried to recover it and we both spent the rest of the scene trying not to burst out laughing. 3) Having to scream hysterically for longer than 10 seconds in The Ugly Duckling while the rest of the cast tried not to dissolve into fits of giggles like they did everytime we rehearsed it. 4) Playing the accompaniment on stage to ’On My Own’ (from Les Mis) on the flute as the character of Lesser Vizzir/Mini Me (otherwise known as Iago) in Aladdin. Also in the same show, I had the same long speech to announce the entrance of the Grand Vizzir (otherwise known as Jafar) EVERY time he entered. These are my favourite lines from a show so far and a speech which I still remember word for word 18 years later.
RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET IS ON AT THE RHODA MCGAW THEATRE FROM 28TH - 30TH JUNE AT 7:30PM WITH A SATURDAY MATINEE AT 2:30PM. CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS.
MEET THE CAST OF 'Return to the Forbidden Planet' - Nicole Connell - Science Officer
NAME: Nicole Connell
CHARACTER: Science Officer
BY DAY I.....spend half of my week looking after my 2 year old Daughter, which involves trips to many different parks, Gymnastics, Swimming and watching A LOT of Frozen! The other half of my week is spent being a self employed virtual assistant, which mainly involves doing admin duties for people that don't have the time to do it themselves!
BY NIGHT I.....Co-run 'Simply Theatre' who are now in their 10th year and looking forward to kicking off their next production 'Sister Act'. I also sit on the Woking Drama Association committee as the Publicity Officer and we are now looking to start organising the 60th Woking Drama Festival. I am also part of the committee who are trying to re-launch Woking Youth Theatre. So as you can see, my 'spare' time is mostly taking up with LOTS of drama (the good kind).
FAVOURITE SONG FROM THE SHOW AND WHY? This is quite difficult because I have a few. I love listening to Wipeout because it's such a great tune but I love singing 'Go Now' especially with the wonderful backing vocals courtesy of the cast.
PAST SHOWS INCLUDE: Little Shop of Horrors, Return to the Forbidden Planet, West Side Story, Oklahoma, Habeas Corpus, Into the Woods, The Hot Mikado, Grease, Me and My Girl, A Streetcar Named Desire and Salad Days, to name a few favourites.
FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/EMBARRASSING MOMENT STAGE: My most recent favourite moment was being nominated for Best Actress at both Woking and Leatherhead Drama Festivals and scooping the Runner Up award for our entry at Woking. An hour long play, with just two characters is a LOT of lines to learn and I spent 75% of the play on hands and knees, so it felt well deserved.
RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET IS ON AT THE RHODA MCGAW THEATRE FROM 28TH - 30TH JUNE AT 7:30PM WITH A SATURDAY MATINEE AT 2:30PM. CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS.
MEET THE CAST OF 'Return to the Forbidden Planet' - Matt Hough - Ariel

FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/EMBARRASSING MOMENT STAGE: I'll have to say worst moment is and will continue to be my ability to put on any sort of jacket or T-shirt on stage, always amusing for audiences to see my struggles so who knows what will happen in this show!
RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET IS ON AT THE RHODA MCGAW THEATRE FROM 28TH - 30TH JUNE AT 7:30PM WITH A SATURDAY MATINEE AT 2:30PM. CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS.

NAME: Karlene Neumann
CHARACTER: Miranda
BY DAY I..... am a lower school teacher. I spend the day singing songs about counting and writing!

FAVOURITE SONG FROM THE SHOW AND WHY? Great Balls of Fire! I love it because it reminds me of the dance moves to 'Tradegy' by Steps.

MEET THE CAST OF 'Return to the Forbidden Planet' - Richard Hall - Captain Tempest
NAME: Richard Hall
CHARACTER: Captain Tempest
BY DAY I..... run a business specialising in data and application integration. This means (because nobody ever seems to know) I spend my days playing with, sharing, moving, reshaping, analysing, inferring from.... other people's data.
BY NIGHT I.....have recently spent my time banging my head against anything solid in frustration at the RTTFP words not going in. However this approach may change soon as all it seems to have achieved is for the already obfuscated dialogue to become even more unintelligible.
FAVOURITE SONG FROM THE SHOW AND WHY? Albatross. Because it is Fleetwood Mac. However I think The Chain might have been a better Mac song to shoehorn into the score.
PAST SHOWS INCLUDE: Oklahoma, West Side Story, Chess, Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar, Big and A Slice of Saturday Night are some of my favourites.
FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/EMBARRASSING MOMENT STAGE: My favourite moment on stage was playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. I loved the whole thing. I had a much higher vocal range then, so couldn't do it again. My most memorable moment on stage was receiving the "baked bean award" with Woking Youth Theatre for accidentally replacing the word "call" with "come", when delivering the line "I shall call upon you again later" in Jane Eyre. The most embarrassing moment on stage has to be stripping to a thong in Girls Night Out. I'm still scarred by that.....as I imagine are many of the audience members.

BY NIGHT I............frequent the bars that Captain Tempest doth visit. My main hobby is intergalactic quidditch.
FAVOURITE SONG IN THE SHOW AND WHY? 'Yeh Yeh' I love the interaction between Bosun and Cookie.
PAST SHOWS INCLUDE: Hot Mikado, Streetcar Named Desire, Grease, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, Rent and Urinetown, all with Simply Theatre.
FAVOURITE/MOST MEMORABLE/EMBARRASSING MOMENT ON STAGE: I am always the consummate professional on stage. I have never gone on stage without my skirt on. Albeit I did have a fetching apron on!!

The story is about three female secretaries who decide to get revenge on their tyrannical, sexist boss by abducting him and running the business themselves. One of them panics the following day when she suspects she really has poisoned the tyrant.
It is a highly comedic and “feel good” show performed by WAOS; a NODA-award winning musical theatre company.

Runnymede Drama Group - 'People' by Alan Bennett - Riverhouse Barn - 11th-14th April 2018
The plumbing doesn't work, the cellar is flooded and there is a bath on the billiard table. Exactly how far will the eccentric Lady Dorothy go to save Stacpoole Manor? Will she invite complete strangers in to traipse through her home, picking over and commenting on her worldly belongings and family heritage? Perhaps she should sell off a few choice knick-knacks or heirlooms to make ends meet or hire out the old four poster bed to a dubious film crew? These are just a few of the many options considered in a bid to save the crumbling family pile in this funny and touching comedy by Alan Bennett.
TICKETS: £14 each from Riverhouse Box Office 01932 253354 boxoffice@riverhousebarn.co.uk, or via their website: www.riverhousebarn.co.uk Seating is limited so early booking is advised.
